A [10-12] WEEK PREGNANCY CIRCLE BY AMA COLLECTIVE
Nurtured Beginnings
Everyone's preparing you for the baby. Who's preparing you to become a mother?

You've read the books. You've built the registry, compared strollers, maybe even started a meal train for after the birth.
And still, somewhere underneath all that preparation, there's a quieter question:
Am I going to know what to do?
Every expert, app, and well-meaning friend has an opinion. Some of them even contradict each other. And the more you read, the harder it gets to hear the one voice that matters most: your own.
Pregnancy isn't a waiting
room. It's the beginning.
Your baby is developing rapidly right now, and so are you. Pregnancy reshapes the maternal brain before your baby is even born, preparing you to notice, respond to, and bond with your baby.
The care you give yourself now, and the connection you build with your baby now, help lay the foundation for what comes next.
And what comes next asks a lot of you. In labor and in the early weeks postpartum, when hormones and emotions are flooding in, what you'll need most isn't the latest baby technology or more data. It's to feel safe, supported, and connected.

More information isn't the answer.
Our culture tells expecting mothers that the way to be ready is to be prepared: the right gear, the right app, the right “birth plan”, every pregnancy book on the shelf.
None of these things are inherently wrong. But preparation that only happens in your head leaves out the part of you that will actually do during the birthing and the mothering.
Many of us arrive at motherhood fully stocked, yet quietly doubting whether we can do this. That doubt isn't a personal failing. It comes from a culture that treats pregnancy like a checklist of purchases, disconnects us from our bodies, and teaches us to trust experts and apps over our own knowing.
What if you already know more than you think?
Your body already knows how to do this. Birth is a physiological process that depends on feeling safe, and your nervous system is the switchboard. The breathing, the grounding, and the time spent connecting with your baby aren't fluff. They're ancestral practices, backed by science, that help your body feel safe enough to do what it was made to do.
Research can inform, validate, and even empower you. But it was never meant to replace the mother already inside you.
Nurtured Beginnings is a place to practice listening to your body, your baby, and your instincts, so you can take everything you've learned and discern what's right for you. We weave the science of parent and infant brain development, nervous system health, and attachment together with somatic practices.
Your instincts already know the way. The science helps you trust them.
Imagine being postpartum and…
Trusting yourself.
When the advice gets loud, you know how to tune in instead of spinning out.
Already connected to your baby.
You've spent weeks noticing, talking to, and bonding with the little one you're growing.
Knowing how to steady yourself.
You have short, simple, practical ways to calm your nervous system in the everyday moments of motherhood.
Understanding what's ahead.
You know how your baby's brain develops, what normal infant sleep actually looks like, and why your presence matters so much.
Held by a village.
You have a circle of mothers who get it, and who you can text at 2am.
Making room for all of it.
You can hold joy and grief, excitement and fear, love for your baby and longing for your old life, without deciding one of them is wrong.
THE CIRCLE
A [10-12] week circle for expecting mothers
Nurtured Beginnings is a [10-12]-week circle for expecting mothers, whether this is your first baby or your next. Every pregnancy is its own beginning, and every baby makes you a mother all over again.
Each week, we weave together grounding practices, short neuroscience teachings, journaling and reflection, and time to share in community. It's a space to slow down, learn about the changing brains of both you and your baby, care for your own nervous system, and deepen your connection with your baby before birth.

WHY THIS MATTERS
Most prenatal support gives you information or community or body-based practices. Nurtured Beginnings brings all three together. You don't just learn about connection; you practice it, week after week, alongside other mothers.
